THC Black Thunder Stout 5.5% IBU 5 Apparently, this is made by contract brewers out in Aichi which makes sense as I bought it at the fun BINGE Bottle shop. Deep black with a tan head of foam that didn’t linger. Sweet milk stout with soft chocolate aroma. Full bodied with a soft mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The taste is mildly roasty and a touch sweet before a black Thunder type cookie sweetness shows up in the finish. Paired with the actual Black Thunder chocolate bar it brings out a vanilla milk stout sweetness in the beer while the beer really highlights the cookie crunch in the chocolate. Fun stuff as I’m a huge fan of the Black Thunder chocolate. Pretty good for a new brewery I’d never heard of. I wonder where they contract brewer it…
