4 oz. draft at the tasting room. Pitch black with a small beige head. This beer is a weird one. I taste very little maple or porter flavors. Tastes more like a root beer soda with very light touch of maple. I like it, but the name and style are misleading IMHO.

4 oz. draft at the tasting room. Pitch black pour with a small beige head. In spite of the description, I don't taste any chocolate and limited coffee flavors. Dark roasted body with an odd ash flavor. Low carbonation and smooth. I was hoping for better but the ash flavor is ruining the experience.

4 oz. draft at the tasting room. A very dark brown color with a small beige head. Good lacing. The taste reminds me of a dunkel with just a touch of Scottish edge to it. Good roasted and smoky flavors. Very smooth. Low carbonation. Very easy drinking. The 6.2% ABV is well hidden.

4 oz. draft at the tasting room. Clear yellow color with a small white head. Semi flat mouthfeel. A little sweet. Clean, very mellow and easy to drink. Good.
