Surly: The frustration we felt when we couldn't find a good beer, much less a great one, in Minnesota. So we made some.

Great beer is all that really matters. Well, that and pushing your limits a bit, looking out for your people, taking pride in where you’re from, and having as much damn fun as you can while doing it.

Dark brown with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a certain coffee note but strangely not with a roasted note. More like a coffee flavoured piece of chocolate. Perhaps due to an underlying sweetness from the base Brown Ale.

Draugght @ Sheffield's, Chicago (Nov 2024). Faintly cloudy dark yellow with a foamy off-white head, faint citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter soapy piney taste with citrus flavor, faint mango, thin body, long finish. Despite the initial soapiness, the following flavor profile is admirable.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma of citrus, mango, pineapple and biscuit. Pours hazy dirty yellow color with large frothy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet malty and herbal, following is ripe fruity and medicinal, mouthfeel is mild spicy and rather dry, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Mosh pit energizer…

Clear golden colour with thin head. Quite a lot of citrus juiciness. Oranges and a bit of grapefruit pith.
