Thanks Willie.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt golden orange color with a half finger’s worth of sustaining white foaminess. Thin messy lacing roams all around the glass nicely.
The aroma starts thick sweet bready/yeastiness with some sweet citrus pulp striding in nicely. Spices seem there but definitely stay in the background.
The flavor brings in the sweet breadiness with the sweet citrus. Spices, still stay far in the background. Sly sweet bready/yeasty aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation feels pretty low in this.
Overnight, it’s a decent saison, nothing out of the park and may be a bit aged right now, not sure (lack of bolder spices makes me think that).

Dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying tan head. Aroma of lactose, cream, alcohol, roasted malt and a bit of coffee - decent, but not too strong. Light-bodied; Strong roasty flavours with a nice sweet potato and lactose flavour showing the sugary side, but the earthy, ashy flavours are also noticeable without much malt support. Aftertaste shows some smokey notes with a bit of peat and grain with a touch of sugars, some mild alcohol notes and a hint of bitterness from the coffee. Overall, not such a great beer, but worth trying if you like the style. I sapled this twelve ounce bottle purchased by a teammate and sampled after a hockey game on 23-March-2014 in Ballston (Arlington), Virginia.

355ml bottle. Crystal clear, brown-ish amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Minimally nuttily, caramel malty aroma. Taste is slightly sweet, nuttily malty, some caramel, a touch of toffee; smooth, soft and silk palate.
