On tap at bier thirty. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is pine hops some roast and a bit of citrus. Taste is more of the nice hop combo pine citrus some caramel roast and a nice light smoke. A little grapefruit pithy bitterness on the end.

Draft - Woody, touch of sweet caramel. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet Woody notes with some decent hops.

Draft - Grapefruit and pine. Deep jet brown with a nice rich light brown head. Some dark malts and pine notes. Not really as dark and roasty as I like nor complex, but decent.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours a hazy deep dark amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is harsh on the whiskey notes, with lots of heat, whiskey and smoke. Flavour is abrasive as fuck, with loads of smoke, alcohol and whiskey. No red ale discernible here - all alcohol and smoked whiskey. Not very pleasant.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out a good mix of roasted malt and piney hops. Flavour is similar, with a decent balance of roasted malt and piney hops. Could use a touch more roast but this is still well-done. Good.

The best appearance, by far, of the three I had that night (Seahops, Kulshan, this). Obviously unfiltered, yet bright, with a copper-golden body and a very well-retained white head.
This seemed to have been a very popular beer around town and for good reason. It’s assertively hoppy, yet not obnoxiously bitter. The malt balanced nicely with plentiful toasted grain/sourdough as well as honey and light caramel. Nothing fancy on the hops, just a pretty straightforward citrus character with light pine accents. Very light hint of tropical fruit in the nose. Towards the end of the glass, the malt wore on me a bit too much, adding too much toasted character, which exacerbated the hop acidity, somewhat unbalancing the beer flavorwise. The mouthfeel was spectacular, however, with tight, appropriate carbonation and a malty, supple texture.

Sort of a dull amber. Bright nose...lemon rind, piney, orange, very bright and evocative. Big body, richly bitter, orange peel, lingering rich malts. High quality IPA...bringing back the 2010 taste, but with a level of quality you seldom see in the classic IPAs of that era anymore.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours a cloudy golden color with a patchy fizz head. Fruity, citrus forward aroma. Cool citrus flavor, and extremely refreshing. Cool finish. Delicious. Very nice IPA filled with grapefruit and tropical fruit. Awesome beer. UPDATE: About 8 tries later, I found this in cask. Maybe even better. I love this beer.
