16oz @ Ryan's shared with Alex hoping that allergy effects won't affect my taste, hehe. Appearance: murky golden with a white head. Aroma: dank, a bit sweet, some tropical fruits. Taste: very dank in taste, quite watery for the ABV. Overall: ok.

On tap at Chuck's CD, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry piney hops, toasted grains, and some straw. Flavour is dry and clean, with piney hops, toasted grains, and biscuity malt on the finish. Clean and bright on the hops, without being abrasive or harsh in any way. Very good.

6.5 oz. Appearance: hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma: American oak, lots of caramel, sweet. Taste: sticky, boozy, lots of nice dark fruits, some herbal notes, a bit earthy. It also has some spice notes for whatever reason, like in Rye barrel aged stouts. Overall: good one, but it's a bit harsh. Definitely powerful, but lacks balance and smoothness, that 2023 version had.

Tasting at Matt's, bottle
Black colour, no head. Strong aroma of chocolate and coconut. Full bodied, very sweet, it's like biting in a coconut/chocolate bar, plus the hot alcohol, the bourbon; caramel sauce, roasted nuts; initially it tasted a bit too roasted, but then it goes away.
Excellent.

750ml shared with Phill and the gang @ Matt's (thx for the beer, man!) new place. Appearance: almost black with a weak dark brown head. Aroma: sweet, loads of (over)toasted coconut, a bit boozy. Taste: along the same lines, moderately to highly sweet. Overall: nice body and mouthfeel, but it's another example of coconut over-toasting by Structures.

Pours black. Aroma has a ton of toasted coconut with chocolate and liquor. Flavour has chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and bourbon. Boozy warmth on the finish. Heavy-handed but good.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Very dark brown with no head. Tons of toasted coconut, quite oily, bourbon quality is mostly hidden by the coconut aside from the booze hit at the end. Tasty, but a bit unbalanced.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a tiny head and some chunks of coconut floating on top. Nose is full of elegant bourbon barrels, lots of toasted coconut, more coconut, and indeed more coconut. Flavour is ridiculously intense on the coconut, with oodles of toasted coconut, some coconut oil, and rounded out nicely by the bourbon barrels. Extreme but not brutal at all, with a really great barrel character. Excellent.

Aromas are a nice blend of fresh citrus, resin, sweat hops with dry grain and a hint of biscuit. Flavors are similar to nose, bittersweet up front with a long bitter finish. Decent body for a pale ale and good carbonation.
