Poured from the tap. Clear amber with small beige head. Honey, caramel, wood glue, a little bit rough. Okay.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney and citrusy hops, a hint of stone fruits, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is super vibrant and bright, with assertive piney hops, bright citrus, some tropical stone fruits, and just enough biscuity malt to back. What a bright hop expression. Vibrant, piney, nicely bitter, amply fruity finish. Gem of a west coast IPA here.

16 oz. can, pours a clear copper golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of ripe (maybe overripe?) green melon, light tangy hops, some citrus, maybe a bit of herbal character. Flavour is a bit different, bringing out a semi-dank, oily, piney hop character, along with green melon, a touch of onion, some vibrant tropical fruits, and a hint of citrus. Really nice, bright, dynamic hop expression. Very good as usual from Stoup.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is ridiculously dank, smell like a hop plant drenched with marijuana oils. Flavour is absurdly dank and oily, with a wonderful dank hop character that coats the palate with lovely oiliness. Excellent.

Draft pour pint enjoyed at Elliott Bay Pizza. As clean as they get, bright shiny golden pour, thick cream foam head. About as dank as they get as well. I could argue too dank for my taste, as I discover on the spot that it is indeed possible. Big weed, grassy hop heavy nose. Flavor has some grassy and onion like dank hop character. Buried biscuit grains. Sharp bitter finish. Infinite hop heavy bitter palate. Quite the brew here. Intense, but enjoyable.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney hops, light biscuity malt and a hint of fruitiness. Flavour is full of piney hops, light biscuity malt and gentle residual sweetness. Piney, lightly oily finish. Really well-done. Excellent.

16 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter piney hops, some oily resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and assertive, with bitter piney hops, grapefruit rind, oily resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Piney, oily, crisp finish. Very good old school piney IPA here.

Draft pour pint at Elliott Bay Pizza. Clean and shiny golden pour. A thin, rocky head. Really crisp front, cracker grains, and long lasting grassy, moderately bitter hops. Cool, crisp, and refreshing all around. Has a light feel, so this would work great in a six pack format with warmer weather coming. Slightest hint of citrus peel here. Bitterness really holds out until late in the palate. Very tasty brew here.

Draft pour pint at Elliott Bay Pizza. Clean and clear golden pour.lots of sticky head and lacing. This is what I look for in a west coast IPA. Clean and crisp front, with grassy, piney, gentle onion hops, and a good biscuit grain for balance. Sharp flavor up front, has a hop bite, but this is nowhere near intense at any point. Long lingering resinous pine. Absolutely on point IPA here.

Draft 12 oz pour enjoyed at Elliott Bay Pizza. Somehow missed this gem during all my visits to the brewery locations. Jet black pour. Thin, active fading cola head. Very layered imperial here. Lots of dry oak up front. Toast, chocolate follow with a steady dose of bourbon notes without getting too hot. Lingering palate has a maple note, with more smooth bourbon notes. Finishes on the dry side as well. Warming feel without the flavor being to aggressive or harsh. Overall a really well executed stout here. Need some variants of this excellent base brew.
