Clear dark brown beer, small irregular big bubbled beige head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, coffee, some caramel, cocoa powder, a bit dusty. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of coffee, roasted, bitter, some caramel, dusty. Aftertaste: dry, spicy, sugary, caramel.

Bottle at home. Opaque dark black color, small dark brown colored head. Aroma is (Dutch) "hopjesvla", yuk, hate it, some vanilla and light spices. Flavor is malts, sweetness, vanilla, again spices and "hopjesvla". Way too sweet and too much spices for me. Totally not my beer.

On tap. Pours black with moderate dark tan head. Aromas of chocolate fudge, chocolate icing, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate nougat, graham wafers, dark sugars, vanilla and oily roasted malts. Maybe a touch of coconut in the finish. A very nice sipper and somewhat balanced for a pastry stout.

0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', batch #1, bottled in December 2024. Almost clear, very dark ruby with a thin, dense, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a bit boozy aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes and some brown sugar. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly boozy, gently fruity taste of molasses, chocolate, raisins, prunes and caramel, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice one, quite outspoken, maybe a little sharp in the finish. Still a nice surprise!

Schenkt als olie, pikzwart en moddervet, zonder schuim. Sterke vanille geur, zoet, (Haagse) hopjes. In de mond is er ook een fruitig zuurtje. Smaak is behoorlijk zoet, vanille. Volle body, bijna stroperig. Zachte koolzuurprikkeling. Toch nog een vaag geroosterd bittertje in de afdronk.
