On tap at the brewpub. Neutral dark grainy nose. The beer starts deep with chocolate and roast. Very dry, nice round. The body is easy to drink with dark chocolate and dark malt, not too roasted, quite dry. Moderate bitter dry roasted dark chocolate aftertaste. Really a nice one!

0.5 l bottle from ’Akzenta’ (Barmen) as ’Wuppertaler Bernsteinbock’ (probably an alias of Goldbock?!), best before October 2017. Clear, golden amber with a large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Faint, sweetish-malty, slightly floral and abit grassy aroma of honey, caramel and some straw. Quite sweet, malty, slightly floral taste of caramel, honey, some wine gum and a touch of apricot, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit grassy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay, a bit bland actually.
