Tap at Hogs Back Tap. Hazy dsrk orange. Thin foamy white head. Aroma has light citrus and a pithyness over cardboard hops. Flavourwise there's a tangy and juicy citrus core with a more bitter edge. Grapefruit. Slightly odd chewy malts. Cardboard and cheap bread. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. The more I drink this, the more I dislike this. Just something off about it.... the flavours just don't tally. One of those not entirely successful attempts by an oldschool brewery to brew a modern beer. Described as an XPA but a Hazy Pale all the way.

Can at and thanks to James, 13/04/24. Murky orange amber with a good sized lasting creamy white head. Nose is orange zest, melon, light bread dough, grapefruit. Taste comprises caramel malts, straw, grapefruit, orange peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juicy hop bitterness. Okay if a little old skool and overly 'caramelly'!

Tap at the brewery... I.e. Hits Back. Aroma is sweet and full of that passionfruit. Clear gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Sweet and chock full of passionfruit. Slightly sour edge. Underlying grains and malts are most prominent into the finish. Light. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Pretty nice and refreshing, if sweet.

Can from Wine Yard, Farnham. Aroma has soft stone fruit and porridge. Sweet. Hazy dark orange. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. Stone fruit. Resin. Canned fruit syrup sweetness. Porridge hints. Although a tad muted throughout. Medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Nice enough but pulls its punches.
