330ml bottle bought at an EuroSpar store in Basel. Pours a clear amber coloured body. Diminishing white head, fragile lacing. Malt-fruity nose, grass and earth. Forest, grass, nuts, and caramel flavours, rather jam-like. Mostly sweet to the ending. Soft carbonated. Drinkable (hotel room, 28.07.2014).

Bottle 330ml (PBF IX)
Clear amber color, small white head. Grainy caramel aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, some grass, some harsh notes in the finish. Slightly bockish but somewhat industrial.

Bottled@PBF IX. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is citrus, some amber colour as well as mild biscuity maltiness. Flavour is quite strong biscuit malts along with some herbs, toffee and bready notes. Crisp malts, but that s about ut.

33 cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, BBE 10/2014
Aroma has sweet malty tones and grain. Also some caramel. Flavour has cardboard, some sweetish and harsh malty tones and hints of caramel. Aroma was nice and sweet but flavour a bit disappointing.

Pours clear amber orange with a smooth head. Aroma of bready malts, hints of caramel, grass and earthiness. Taste is malty, bready and grassy with some earthiness. Finish is earthy, grassy and bready. A bit unbalanced.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein hell bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, hopfig, blumig. Geschmack malzig würzig, hopfig bitter, blumig.

Ein ehemaliges Klosterbier, das aber vom Heineken.Konzern gebraut wird. Die Hauptrolle spielt hier das Kara-Malz, das einen süßlichen, aber angenehmen Geschmack bringt. Eigentlich ein schönes Feierabendbier mit vollmundigen Geschmack.

Eines der vielen No-name-Biere in der Schweiz. Fast in jedem Bahnhofskiosk erhältlich, gibt es dieses Bier nun doch schon einige Jahre. Im Gegensatz zu anderen solcher Biere ist auf der knallroten Dose mit der etwas betrunken lächelnden Helvetia wenigstens ein Hinweis auf die erzeugende Brauerei: Heineken, welch Überraschung.... Wenn man bedenkt, dass die Dose "nur" 1,90 CHF kostet (in der Schweiz ein Schnäppchen - interessanterweise gleich viel wie das in den gleichen Geschäften erhältliche Peja-Pivo aus dem Kosovo) ist es halbwegs trinkbar. Je kälter es ist und in Mengen getrunken in Ordnung, aber bitte nicht als einzelnes Feierabendbier.
