50cl Can: brought back from Switzerland by my Son-in-Law. Poured into a Duvel glass at home on 22nd Oct 13. Pale yellow/gold with a full, but fading white head, instant wisp and collar. Bland, boring and semi-dry in nature. This had nothing going for it. Almost odourless and tasteless with no redeeming features, getting more and more metallic as it warmed. It may well be refreshing after a day skiing or chasing cows with bells on, but sat at home in Shropshire tasting different beers it failed on all fronts. It did follow wheat beers from Northern Ireland and Denmark, so maybe I should have had it first? Even so it was very poor.

330 ml bottle. ABV is 5.6%. Clear deep golden to amber colour, moderate to low white head. Aroma of caramel malts, ripe berries and herbal hops, a hint of honey. Medium sweet flavour of caramel malts and brown bread, dry finish with some herbal hops and a hint of honey again. Okay, but did not blow my socks off.

Golden colour. Malty, biscuity aroma. Flavour is a bit stale. Otherwise quite a lot of malt sweetness.

Bottle in the lounge at the Zürich Marriott. This brew is a clear dark golden color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Small patches of lace. The aroma is grassy hops and malt. Light body with flavors of mildly spiced hops and bready malt. The finish is short and lightly bitter. Barely average all around.
