Can. Bronze, a fat coat of pale beige head. Faintly boozy aroma with singed darkish sugars, pine, bread. Full bodied but short of syrupy. Strong bread, singed toffee, some pine, grapes, spices. Strong bitterness balances it well. A solid "no tricks" barleywine.

Can. Unclear deep gold with an inch of white head that collapses. Aroma: bread, light biscuit, that distinctive lime and white pepper of the hop. Hearty and rich with the lime notes lightening things nicely. Hints of warmth and bitterness just get a little harsh at the end. Pretty good.

Can. Dark reddish brown, a coat of beige head is soon gone. Aroma of stewed and dried fruit, dark sugary buns. So it tastes at first, before a fair bit of booze and somewhat spiced bitterness muscle through. Some singed notes. Not bad, perhaps a bit shouty.

Can. Brownish orange with a dense cm of white head that lasts pretty well. Brooding mango, grapefruit and stewed peach aroma with bread, herbs. Heavy with bread & fruit puree with some herbal astringency and bitterness that is enough to balance the considerable sweetness - through it has to struggle through a bit. A little warmth but nothing overt. Not totally my sort of thing but it's well done.
