Amber color with small white head. Aroma of malts, yeasts, a bit Belgian. Taste is malty, spicy, and dry. Smooth carbonation. Not even bad, quite tasty, just dry.

First Rating on 14/12/2014. On tap at bQm. A typical Swiss IPA with too much malt but almost no hops. There is bitterness, but you wonder where it comes from. The only positive side is the nice colour, but it frankly is not what I?d expect from an IPA (4/3/4/2/8=2.1) Second rating on 28/01/2016. Tap to finish the cask at Erzbierschof Zurich. The 2.1 was a bit too harsh, but hey, I was a newbie. Still not good, but I hear it can be a lot better. Let’s hope I’ll get the real deal soon! (6/3/6/3/11=2.9)

Malty, very bready-malty. A bit of aroma hops coming through, but really not too much. Taste is both bready and bitter, a hint of fruits. After a few sips, most of the hops are gone. Moderately bitter, but nothing more. Not the most balanced or intense IPA, really nothing special.

Moderat herb bananiger Antrunk. Keine Änderung im Mittelteil, was das Bier schwach erscheinen lässt. Mild fruchtig, zum Ende deutlich bitter. Wenig abwechslungsreiches Weizen. 9/9/9/8/7/8

Getreidig hopfiger Antrunk, leicht bitter. Einen Ticken würziger im Mittelteil, dabei aber kaum hopfiger. Erst im Nachgeschmack ist ein Anstieg erkennbar, süffig, geringfügig blumig. 10/9/10/9/6/9

330 ml bottle. ABV is 5.0%. The colour of the beer is not very "schwarz", more deep reddish brown. Large to moderate off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma, notes of bakery / dark bread and caramel. The flavour is equally nice, dark bread and some caramel again, also some roast malts throughout. The hops are very moderate. Would buy again.

Good name! Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours deep ruby-brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is earth, wood, caramel, toffee, raisin, fruit cake and a touch of spice. The taste is caramel, light toast, roasted malt, earth, orange, varnish and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Straight-forward and easy drinking.

Bottle at Bruce’s - London. Big thanks to the host! Pours hazy amber with a foamy, tan head. Dry bready malt nose, some dried berries. Light sweet flavor, simple bread, some dry caramel, a bit of toasty dough, hints of berries. Light bodied with fine, fairly creamy carbonation. Sweet finish, some sugary dough, hints of leathery berries. Fine.

Herber, erstaunlich wenig hefiger Beginn. Das Bier bleibt mild, dabei nimmt die Hefigkeit mit der Zeit aber einen wichtigeren Posten ein. Süffig, Stärker werdende vergorene Fruchtnoten, kurzer Nachgeschmack. OK. 12/8/9/8/8/8
