Crowley thanks to HOMER. Pours inky black, small dark brown head, decent lacing. Aroma is full of espresso, mocha, chocolate, notes of vanilla. Not getting cinnamon. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, rich mocha without oppressive sweetness. Full body. Quite xolid.

Bottle thanks to Homer! Pours clear black, small tan head, dissipates fairly quickly with decent residual. Aroma is a bit boozy, bourbon, cocoa, vanilla, molasses, oak. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, boozy chocolate. Medium body. A tad harsh.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Strong peat aromas with some light cigar, tobacco and dark licorice notes. Smooth on the palate with more strong peat notes. Some cacao nib as it warms up. More peat and woody roasted vanilla with bourbon on the finish. A bit unbalanced, but nice to see someone using peat stateside. --- Beer merged from original tick of Double Surrender Ash on 20 Apr 2019 at 00:49 - Score: 7

Draft at Southern Grist 3rd Anniversary. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige to brown head that lingers. Cacao nib, maple and banana aromas dominate with caramel cinnamon coming out as it warms. Sweet, but the cinnamon and coffee notes balance out the maple and banana. A pastry stout for sure, but nice texture with vanilla and more banana. Finish has more dark chocolate, cacao and banana and cinnamon. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bananas Foster French Toast All Star Special on 25 Feb 2019 at 10:07 - Score: 8
