Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a sturdy dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace to leave some light lace running around the sides of the glass fairly nice.
The aroma had a nice blended of roasted coffee, sweet oats/grains, some milk chocolate, dark chocolate, touch of vanilla, caramel, nuts, sweet wood and a touch of Irish coffee creamer at the end.
The flavor leaned slightly to the sweet side allowing the roast to make a strong effort to come in for a balance but stays just a pinch behind. Aftertaste was a fully strong coffee sweet and roastiness. The finish was long, smooth, malty and sweet.
The palate was about medium bodied with a good carbonation and ABV. Nice smoothness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, pretty good brown ale that I would like to come back to if I could get it again.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is bourbon, oak, roast, licorice, tobacco. Medium body, roast, dark chocolate, tobacco, wood, boozy finish, dry, very good.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, coconut, wood, pure sugar, rum. Medium body, boozy, roast, brown sugar, dark chocolate, wood, good.

Bottle to nonic pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark brown close to black color with a thin finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Not much lace.
The aroma had some sweet milk chocolate, sly roastiness, light coffee bean, some caramel malts, light vanilla, and a touch of wood.
The flavor was moderately sweet with the roast accompanying it somewhat nicely. Aftertaste was the same along with the finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Nice balance of smooth to roasty grip along my tongue.
Overall, pretty good porter I could do again.

Bright beeswax and brass with a gentle haze and a small, beige-flecked white head showing moderately-low retention.
Lots of mint, salt and spicy rum in the nose is met by rather sparse malting; some light honey and biscuit is about the extent of it. There are citrus notes as well, with light lactic and Brett acids perking up and adding brightness but then being lost again on the rather heavily adjunct finish.
In the mouth it’s again full of mint and spicy rum. A peppery, salty, lightly tannic character seems to be the force of it, with moderate tartness and light Brett that is washed away by strong lime and mint on the finish. Sparse malting with ample carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Just not enough beer to it for me.
