Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Near opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent superfine carbonation. A pleasant light bodied dark malt profile, a little roast, mild unsweet dark chocolate. Fairly American hop back end, bright citrus, juicy, piney. Light finish. Very quaffable.

Tap at dutch bar bermondsey tasting. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a khaki head. Aroma is earthy roast, liquorice, jammy fruits, robust farming roast. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty roast, liquorice. Solid. Light chalky.

On tap at Cafe Gijs. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Tons of bourbon barrels and toasted bread on the nose; a bit perfumey. Flavour has bready malts that are almost totally smothered by the perfumey barrel bullshit. This is an embarrassment.

Bottle shared at mini-tasting. Opaque dark brown color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, smoked malts. Flavor is similar, with lightly bourbon but way less intense as I had expected. Pleasant lingering malt bitter finish with some bourbon notes. Not bad but a bit thin bodied as well. And the caramel is not a good addition. Hmm, not bad, but not great either.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, a little dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a slightly thin creamy sweetness. Light pine. A fair amount of bitterness, mildly floral. Mild citrus peel. A slightly better tangy bitterness on the fairly light finish. Thin and slightly bitter but going down fine.

Bottled. Dark pour. Dark chocolate malts, some berries and fruits, not super roasted. Medium body. Beautiful.

A clear golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of lime, lemonade, zest. Taste of lime juice, zest, a bit salty, easy to drink.
