The bottle itself is rather unique... Kinda looks like a ’flacon’ more than a beerbottle. oval shaped, no label or anything, just a necklabel. Interesting to set it appart from other beers ! Pours clear blonde with a huge head ( this head is charged !!! ) Smell is weak. very distant grainyness. bit of sweetness as the beer opens up; Taste is bit sweet, clearly some spices are used here. Is that coriander ??? some bitterness, yeasty ending. Nothing wrong at all with the ber ( accept for the big foam ) but so common Belgian blonde taste... I get that a new Brewery wants to start ’safe’ but ’safe’ can also mean you make something truly different so people have to pick your beer if they like the taste... this can easely be replaced by dozens of other Belgian blonde’s.. But like I said, as far as quality goes, this seems to be pretty right ! So i’d be delighted to try other ( more interesting beers ? ) from this Brewery.

Clear briljant deep golden colour, small fizzy white head, sparkling, fairly lasting, light lacing. Aroma banana, pale malts, yeast, toffee, some honey, bit butter. Fizzy onset bit neutral taste, prickling on the tongue, medium sweet and bitter, caramel, timidly fruity, yeasty, sourish touch in the middle, dry bitter aftertaste, light spices and a tad alcohol. Medium body, fizzy, oily texture, lively carbonation, regular Belgian ale, quite pleasant, not that special but well-made and has character. .

Thick, but fast dwindling yellowish head over darker clear golden beer. Pure rosewater nose, bit of diary, lychee. Sweet, marzipan, frangipane, rosewater, isoamylacetate (banana). Very light body, but seems a tad alcoholic, despite its rather low ABV. Beautiful bottle. As to the contents.... Wark?? Tolkien-esque?

New Wallonian micro brew made by Fleur Camerman in her micro brewery near Ottignies; organic beer, carrying the official Certisys logo. Apparently a lot of thought went into design: comes from a stubby, elliptical bottle (of a shape I have only very rarely seen in beer) with the hexagonal logo on a small label near the bottom, so as not to become invisible underneath the hangtag attached to the bottle neck carrying all legal information. Best before date (in this case July 2018) is written by hand. Nice packing, let’s see about the beer itself: densely moussy, very regular, egg-white head remaining completely closed for a very long time, crowning a lightly hazy deep ’old’ golden beer with peachy hue and vivid sparkling rising up; becomes an equally ochre peach blonde with yeast sediment added. Typically Belgian blonde aroma of ripe banana (enhanced by adding the sediment), red apple, overripe pear, pineapple, flowers, powder sugar, freshly grated ginger, cloves, white bread, honey, touch vanilla, dry cookies, grass, dust, raw turnip. Fizzy onset, strong carbonation numbing the tongue a bit but actually fit for this particular style, sweetish and sourish fruitiness of pear, gooseberry and banana, some spicy phenols, pleasantly soft bready malt middle, a tad caramelly, rounded and supple, leading to a dryish finish which adds an earthy, lightly spicy hop bitterishness; breadiness also increases in the finish due to yeast, but does not become overly starchy. The spicy phenols do play a big role here and dominate retronasally, but otherwise I cannot really find anything wrong with this. As Belgian as it gets, a bready ’banana blonde’ so to speak, very safe and belonging to a style we already have way too many of in this country so far from the most original Wallonian micro brew, but a pleasant beer to drink, clearly made with care in both the bottle and the brew itself. I hope this lady brewer will come up with more different beer styles in the future.
