Healthberry Farm and Honey River Meadery

Producers of varietal raw honey, unsulfited meads and beeswax products.

At Healthberry Farm, we believe in the importance of working with nature to produce the finest products possible. Our varietal honeys are raw and come to you straight from the hive, without pasteurization or processing. Honey River meads are aged for two years so they can be bottled without sulfites. Our salves and candles are made with simple ingredients that are good for your body and the air you breathe. We do not add any chemicals, preservatives, colors or additives to any of our products, as they are unnecessary and often harmful.

We are located in the heart of the Highlands of West Virginia, surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest. Healthberry bees forage on plants in a wild setting, a safe distance from sources of toxic contamination, and are never moved for pollination services. Our practices give you an opportunity to support eco-friendly, small-scale farming while treating yourself to delicious varietal honey products made by healthy, happy bees.

Refrigerated 375 ml bottle poured into a white wine glass. Hazy golden. Aroma is rich sweet honey, medium body, and very light carbonation. Taste is rich sweet honey, tart lemon, some earthy, and floral. Great mead.

Chilled 375 ml clear bottle poured into a glass. Clear light orange, no carbonation, no head, syrupy texture, and no lacing. Aroma is honey, some alcohol; taste is honey, raspberry, and hints of alcohol.

Chilled 375 ml clear glass bottle corked poured into a glass. Clear light amber. Aroma is buttery, medium body, slightly syrupy texture, and a little small-bubbles. Taste is buttery, honey, and blueberry.

Pours clear blonde . Smell is Honey , bit sweet, rather sharp . A slight amount of alcohol . Taste is sweet , with like a spiced finish . Rather thin , but big tastebomb . Slightly carbonated even ( barely ) . Ending is spice, with a soft, honeysweet layer underneath it . Good one. Peppers might actually be booze as well , its hard to tell . Makes this one very interesting though .

Bottle: Clear, still, yellow-gold... Tangy wood and honey aroma. Sticky honey, orange, lemon tastes.... Nice warming alcohol burn. Very rich and sticky. Wonderful taste.

Bottle (courtesy of weihenweizen). Woody, herbal honey aroma. Golden yellow with large, short lasting head and slight but long lasting effervescence. Sweet-tangy orange and honey flavor. Moderate carbonation. Very tasty.

Bottle (courtesy of weihenweizen). Grape juice, honey, and herbal aroma. Dark purple. Sweet concord grape and honey flavor. Mildly bitter herb and alcohol finish. Very nice.
