12oz can pours a watery black with some cloudy, beige head. Nose is smokey, sausage fat, mild toast, molasses. Flavor is sweet, chewy grain, molasses, heavy smoke, bacon. Full bodied, dry finish. Not really a black IPA.

Draft at Barcade, 1/11/16. Clear gold color, sheeting head and fairly heavy lacework. Starts off fruity on both the aroma and flavor. Tropical, some melon as well. As the flavor closes a bit of a soapy note comes through, but otherwise it is pretty decent. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. Decently dry close. Okay overall.
