24 June 2018. At Tilburgs Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke.
Hazy dark brown with a yellowish, beige head; little lacing. Aroma of vanilla, mocha, milk chocolate, praliné, hazelnut paste, whole milk, roasted malt, peanut, cream liqueur. It tastes medium malty sweet, hints of chocolate & cream, and light roasted bitter, note of coffee, faintly nutty. Bit toasty, peppery & herbal hoppy finish, yet rather short, with lingering cream. Medium body, slick to watery texture, soft carbonation. Very promising aroma, good taste, disappointing palate. Needs more punch!

Sampled @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2018. Clear bright golden color, small white head. Smell and taste wheat, lemonade, sweetish, a bit weird. Meh. Don't like it.

Cloudy brown colour with thick creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sweet caramel notes. Some grassy bitterness in the finish.

On tap @ Thornbidge Bar, Den Bosch. Brown with an off-white head. Tart aroma with some red fruit. According to the brewer it's a stout fermented with wild yeast, hence the name. In comparison with other 'real' Flemisch red/brown ales it's not as tart as usual but it's still a characterful beer. Well done.

Nasmaak is iets bitter.
