Associated Venue: Big Bang Cider
Our approach to cider making is simple; elevate and express the apple. This results in ciders that are a complex expression of season and place but approachable and enjoyable at the same time.
Our ciders are vintage based and will change with each growing season. We don’t promise that our ciders will be consistent year over year, as each vintage will be different. We do, however, promise that our ciders will be consistently good. So come and visit us on the farm, sit among the apple trees, and have a delicious cider.
Our cider is currently only available for purchase at our farm.

On tap. Pours a hazy yellow/amber. Aromas of waxy candied lemons and soft mashed apples. Flavors follow same with a little pine and sulphur (and definite Citra). Interesting and tasty. Quite nice.

on tap. Pours a thick turbid pinkish red like a fruit smoothy with quite a bit of sediment. Maybe the end of the keg? Aromas of earthy berries and apples. Flavors of dull raspberries, some blueberries and applesauce. Not my type of thing.

Light amber, apple, light nutmeg, that character comes through on the palate, good tannins. Light sweetness , solid.

Pale, no head, has that buttery note coming through from the oak, finishes tannic, low carbo for something that’s supposed to be prosecco-influenced. But the buttery note.

Definitely citra in this. But it comes through well, good hop character, the bitterness works well with the tartness of the apples.

Low carbo, pale amber, dry, buttery, lots of tannins but that butteriness, while appealing to Chardonnay drinkers, is too diacetylic for me…the underlying cider is austere, tannic, pretty good.

Medium amber, blend of six cider apples. Earthy, austere, very dry, subtle apple compexity and quite woody/tannic.

Blackberry cider made with eating apples. No head. Purplish. Juicy blackberry, tart, has some apple complexity. Pretty good.
