Look: clear copper colour with a moderate off-white head of good retention. Aroma: caramel malts, toasted, brown bread, dried fruit. Taste: moderately sweet, malty. Caramel, toast, dried fruit, bready, grassy hop at ending. Light bitterness. Palate: medium minus body. Lively carbonation. Overall: purely brewed, fairly decent as a dark lager. By no means an Irish ale.

Draught into a half a litre growler. Dark ruby, clear, tall pinkish long living head. Nose: dried cherries, grainy / bready notes. Light body. Taste: surprisingly dry. Cherry front. Malts aside. Distant hop spiciness. Low bitterness. OK for what it is supposed to be.
