(bottle) Slightly hazy, dark brown colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with earthy and leafy notes, accompanied by a touch of dark chocolate and herbal hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Robust malty and moderately roasted taste with notes of caramel, chocolate and herbal accents; a tad sweet and mildly roasted malty finish with a touch of herbal hops and a lasting chocolaty aftertaste. A pleasant Dunkel. 18.VIII.10

Bottle: A bit unclear, ruby-amber coloured, big stable loose beige head; sweet caramelly nose with a faint roasty background, traces of hops detectable as well; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; increasing bitterness in the toasty-caramelly finish. A sweet, but well balanced Dunkel....

Tapped: Golden to deep golden, mid-sized stable white head with a good lace; fresh Saaz hops, pale malt in the nose; malty base detectable, light bodied, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; relatively dry lingering Saaz-hoppy finish, balanced by some grains of pale malt. Archetypal czech pivo, very good.......
