I think this is my first ‘Czech’ beer. Yes, it did say BrouCzech dark on it. 12 oz bottle. No apparent aroma that sticks out. Pours nice and dark in my steeler stein. Hops initial and on the finish but not too offensive. Is this possibly a Czech macro company? Your typical dunkle, but with a little hops in there. Im surprized that there are not a lot of ratings on this.

Bottled. Very lively beer, 1/4 of the bottle came out when when opened (has been unmoved in the cold for a few days). Deep golden colour, with a mediumsized beige head, that vanishes eventually. Cooked mushrooms, vegetables, malts and some buttery hints. Also diacetyl and some metallic hints in it. Flavour is buttery, diacetylic, caramellish malty and a bittery hoppy finish. Lots of diacetyl and salty hoppy hints in aftertaste.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white bubbly head. Aroma is butterscotchy and diacetylic. Flavour is the same. Boring and one dimensional. Weak hoppyness might be in aftertaste, but that seems a bit rubbery too.

Bottled (BB 03/2007). Pale yellow, small white head. Diacetylic, butterscotchy aroma. Woody hoppy but (of course) watery. Plastic-hoppy aftertaste. Not too bad 2,8 beer.

330ml bottle. Crystal clear golden in colour. Lively white head fading out quickly. Aroma of dried fruit and malt. Grassy and a bit smokey flavour (Hemp blossom?). Dry finish with a short touch of bitterness. Thin mouthfeel. Unusual, but not particular exciting.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malty with caramellish hints as well as slight hints of honey. Flavour strong foot-sweaty sweetness as well as dry hops. Mouthdrying. Aftertaste of leather.

Draught. Deep golden colour, mediumsized white head. Sweet malty and hoppy aroma with some honeyish hints. Flavour is caramellish, sweet malts with some hops kicking in. Also some slight metallic notes. Bottled (BB 07/2006). Clear golden color, small white head. Buttery, light woody hoppy aroma. Harsh woody hoppy flavor above quite watery body. Long hoppy aftertaste. Bitter but unbalanced Czech pils.

First rating33 cl bottle brought home from Prague. Light golden color, big white head. Malty and hemp scent. Normal mouthfeel, high bitterness. Bottle from Willy’s (store) in Sweden.Honey golden color, large white head, looked great but didn’t last long. Weak malty scent. Weak body.Some bitterness with a malty taste.
