Brauerei Neunspringe owns 1 brewery:
Description
The brewery was founded in 1867 as the Dampfbrauerei Carl Kuntze. Later the name was changed into "Brauerei Neunspringe" on an old field name which in turn is derived from nine springs in the source area of the Hahle, from which the brewery draws its spring water. The brewery survived the war and stayed in the hand of the Kuntze family. But in 1953 the brewery was confiscated and transferred to a state-owned company, a situation that lasted till the end of the GDR. After a trust agency period by the Treuhandanstalt, the company became in a private limited company (GmbH) again in 1994.

Old bottle, BBE was 10.02.12. Malty nose. The beer starts malty and slightly bitter. A bit watery but still quite easy to drink. Malty dry, fresh, smooth. Moderate bitter, mild malty, hints of roast. Nice sessionable brew with hints of malty sweetness in the end.

*Bottle from Globus in Leipzig. Smooth mild-roasted beginning. Dark fruits together with hints of whisky. Nice round picture with plums and roast, smooth and rich, hints of alcohol but not too sticky. Moderate bitter roasted sticky in the aftertaste. Interesting.

500ml bottle picked up at the tourist info in Wittenberg last summer. Very nice appearance with a deep rosewood coloured body under a firm beige head. Fair lacing. Sweet dark malty smell, slightly roasted. Sweet flavours as well, moments of caramel and prunes. Sweet ending with distant roastiness. Way to sweet for a better score. (Shared at a rating session with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 23.03.2017).
