Description
The brewery was founded in 1867 as the Dampfbrauerei Carl Kuntze. Later the name was changed into "Brauerei Neunspringe" on an old field name which in turn is derived from nine springs in the source area of the Hahle, from which the brewery draws its spring water. The brewery survived the war and stayed in the hand of the Kuntze family. But in 1953 the brewery was confiscated and transferred to a state-owned company, a situation that lasted till the end of the GDR. After a trust agency period by the Treuhandanstalt, the company became in a private limited company (GmbH) again in 1994.

Süßlich malzig-getreidiger Antrunk. Angenehm, mild und nicht zu süß, in richtiger Intensität brotig. Sehr malzig-süß werdend, hintergründig herb, im Abgang sogar hopfig-bitter, dennoch ist das Malz das Hauptaroma. Sehr gut! Test vom 22.9.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,11,12,12,7,12 - 11,40

Mild herber Antrunk, bleibend, leicht hopfig..Mittelaromatisch, milder werdend, sehr wenig malzig-hopfig im Hintergrund. Hopfig-bitterer Abgang. Ja...ein Pils eben. Test vom 14.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 9,8,8,8,-,8 - 8,10

Mild, fast wässrig malziger Antrunk. Auch im Mittelteil sehr mild, wenig malzig, hopfig-herber Abgang. Schwaches Schwarzbier. Test vom 14.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 8,6,8,7,-,7 - 7,10

Draught. Very dark brown colour. Nice and sweet flavour, though slight maizy.

Draught, as Neunspringer Helles. Fruity and citric aroma. The flavour is nice and fruity, a little sweet. Good aroma hoppiness.
