Das Bier im Glas hat eine wunderschön kastanienbraune Farbe. Der Geruch ist leicht trocken-malzig. Im Antrunk ist das Bier schön süffig-malzig mit einem ganz leichten angenehmen Hauch Süße. Im Hauptteil entfaltet sich eine schöne malzige Trockenheit mit einem interessant säuerlichen Touch, der aber sehr gut zum Gesamtbild passt. Auf der Zunge bleibt eine ganz leichte herbe, zusammen mit malziger Trockenheit und diesem leicht säuerlichen Touch!

Bottle from McTapps, many thanks. Amber colored beer with medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and nuts. Caramel malt, notes of honey, mild fruitiness, herbal notes, very light hoppy notes in background. Went nicely after epic lunch.

Clear copper color small beige head. Bready malty, strongly grassy aroma. A bit papery. Light to medium bodied. Malty, almost a bit apple fruity flavor. Dry, even some alcohol in the finish. Low bitterness, light toffee in the aftertaste. Maybe goes with food, as such way too simple and lame.

Bottled (thanks McTapps!). Amber colour, huge off-white foamy head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild toasted notes along with some wooden and herbal notes. Flavour is mild fruitiness along with strong caramel, some wooden bitterness as well as some herbal notes. Easy to drink and a good session beer, which would probably suit well with Xmas food as well.

Enjoyed at the Rasstube during my stay in the Sinsheim / Durhen area of Baden Wuttemburg while missing three different umlauts while typing this review. I didn’t take tasting notes while imbibing but overall this was a good, decent dunkel. Would definitely enjoy again.

Bottle: Almost clear, golden to deep-golden, mid-sized white creamy head, mild wheaty-fruity nose with a phenolic touch; light to moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied but still a bit chewy; delicate fruity-wheaty finish with well hidden acidity. Quite a pleasant thirst-quencher…

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts malty-dry, hoppy and metallically. More and more dry. Finish less malty, modest spicy, some soapy notes. A bit unbalanced. Nothing special.
