Bottle. Clear deep red with no head. Aroma is honey, cherries and fruit. Flavour is honey, sweet, sugar, cherries, little artificial and sticky.

Pours clear deep amber. Aroma has notes of honey. Taste is heavy sweet. Body is light to medium, texture is oily with no carbonation.

Bottle. Red colour with no head. Aroma is honey, cherry, heather. Flavour is sweet, honey, cherry, sugar, heather. Very sweet.

Bottle, 75cl , courtesy of Papsoe. A clear, ruby pour leaves no head. Flat. Cherries, some heather and a good dash of honey in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and cherry-like, with cherry pits and some honey. Weak on honey actually. Overall, quite nice, but I prefer my meads to taste mead and not being dominated by cherries. 100814

Deep red with no head. Aroma of cherry, honey and bees wax. Sweet cherry and honey flavour with the cherries clearly dominating

Blond color, very pale. I didn’t had it cold, as I usually do. Aroma of wildflower honey and some alcohol. The flavor is very sweet, but the body is leaner than in other Meads, never syrupy; ther eis some honey flavor, but overall, nothing impressive; just a common, simple, drinkable, sweet Mead.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2010. Pours clear red with a off white head. Sugar and berries. A bit cloying. A bit of honey. Vaguely warm.

Ruby red color, dark. Light honey and cherry aroma. The flavor has the light astringency and sweetness typical of cherry juice, not much honey though. Pleasant sweet drink. Well, it’s not the worst cherry mead I had, but I would prefer if the German meaderies focused on straight mead.
