Slightly aged sample Small white head, stable over copperish golden beer, clear. Oxydation, old grains & malts, cookies, biscuit. First sweet malts, but soon the finish with metallic bitterness takes over. Oxydation is less obvious in the taste; hay. Bit slick, not very carbonated, light body. Accuses its age, still quite enjoyable. Txs to Stef!

This one is "100% Heimat" so you know it's good. Especially since it says "Edeka" in tiny letters 😆 label says it's brewed by Scheuerer in Moosbach. Unless Moosbach is an undiscovered Zoigl town, I'm gonna say no. Still, it's better than their other Z.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Lukas - thank you very much!]. Opalescent, amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Mellow, minimally nutty and toasty, caramel malty aroma, floral hoppy overtones, a touch of nougat, praline. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally toasty and nutty, caramel malty, minimally diluted hints of praline. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather simple and monotonous - unspectacular.

Bottle as Moosbacher Winterzauer. It pours clear pale golden - blonde white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, honeyed grain, rich tea biscuits, white bread, sponge cake, pear and melon. The taste initially has some dryness, sweet malt base, biscuit, white bread, sponge cake, toasty grain, touch grassy, leafy, fruit esters, pear drops and a good one hit of boozey action. Medium body, prickly carbonation and slightly slick mouth feel. Good hit of boost to it. Drinks dangerously easy.
