Black with a lasting tan head. Roasted aroma of liquorice with hints of coffee, smoke and charcoal. Dryish, hard roasted flavour with lots of liquorice and charcoal, and hints of dried fruit. Decent body and a good roasted and hoppy bitterness in the final.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear nutty brown with a lacing, beige head. Oxidized caramelly nose. Rich, sweet body, crystal malts. Not many traces of wheat or Hefe yeast - this is basically a fat Doppelbock. Very little bitterness. 091022

Bottle at a restaurant in Copenhagen. The colour is cloudy brown with a small light beige head. Aroma of nuts, bread, fudge, leather and some tobacco. Flavour of nuts, dates, rye bread and leather. Has a slick and slightly soft mouth feel, light to medium body and a light bitterness. Malty and fairly light brown ale.
