5/10/2024. Bottle bought at Taipei Airport, part of a set of 5 from the same brewer. Pours clear with a slight greeny yellow tint and no head. Aroma is fragrant rice, flowery, notes of sweet caramel wafer and cashew. Taste starts sweeter, with developing bitterness, flavoursome with just a touch of boozy harshness. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, no carbonation. 17 years on since its first rating here, and I liked this more than its original rater.

720 ml bottle from Seijo Ishii. Icy, oily look, clear. Nose is vanilla, rice, rice pudding, yogurt. Light to medium lactic acidity. Sweet, vanilla and rice, peaches and light melon. Nit so acidic. Decent, but yamahai character is a bit weak and it is not so interesting. body rather heavy. This brewery fails to impress me.
