Bottle at home from True Sake. Lightly yellow pour. Nose is lemon peel & grapefruit. Tastes similar with additional florals, apple, white grapes, some liquor. Not as sweet as expected. Thick mouthfeel. Lingering palate.

The taste on the nose recognizes signs of banana, caramel, dried apricot, smoked, pepper, ripe fruit, honey, nuts and soy sauce. The first impression of intensity in the mouth is of power and vigorous sake. The body is structured not heavy. The taste intensity is high, and the taste persistence is good. On the palate the aftertaste is intense and persistent. The taste is enjoyable. The final mouth sensations induce compulsive drinking for sake that is absolutely to be drunk. In the mouth the aroma is that of melon, dried apricot, coconut, smoked, pineapple, tropical fruit, kiwi, umami, milky hint, white mushrooms, non-invasive alcohol present, earth, vanilla and wood.

Glass poured from 1.8 liter bottle. Rice nose, grainy, lightly funky. Sweet fruit, think and light with apple and orange and quite grainy.

Taster at Jam. Lightly cloudy, oily looking. Nose of stewed fruit. Sweet, mild, soft flavors, with light fruit, peach, melon. A nice summery sake. Light nigori creaminess but not overwhelming.

Taster at Jam. Ricey, grainy nose, wheat, bread, caramel. Lots of rice in the mouth, light fruit, alcohol hear, full and rich with great grain character that seems to go beyond rice to bread. Fascinating.

Bottle, 700 ml, from Yamamoto. Rice nose, rich and sweet, some estery fruit. Straightforward. Hot and ricey flavor. Sweet start, hot, dry finish. Alcohol feel is strong. Stone fruits, light citrus, otherwise, very average. A bit disappointed by this sake, though certainly not bad.

Glass, chilled, at Wachi. Yellowish color, oily looking. Big ginjo-ka aroma with koji, peaches and lots of other fruits, pepper, and spice. Peppery, fruity flavor with evident alcohol. Sweet, with peach, melon, tropical fruits. Big, oily body. Smooth and full. A bit too sweet, but wonderful.
