720 ml bottle from Yamamoto. Hatsushibori (first wringing: first finished batch of the new year) nama version. Icy, clear, appearance. Rich rice nose, with mizuame, vanilla, rice. Pure junmai. Sweet, rich, heavy junmai flavor. Rich and estery, with rice, melon, apricots, almost like mochi (glutinous rice cakes). Hugely rich and thick rice flavors. Love this deceptively simple junmai. Huge flavors.

720 ml bottle from Yamamoto. Lightly cloudy, oily, whitish. Estery, fruity nose, peach, melon, lemon. Not the most fragrant. Fabulously fruity flavor, rich, somewhat sweet, full. Flavor blows away the nose, Super rich and fruity. Very rounded, soft, full body. Delicious stuff. Really full and luscious, yet not cloying at all.
