Description
The story takes place during the turbulent period from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji Restoration. After the Sakashitamon
Incident (1862), a kimono wholesaler (Sanoya), which had adopted Ohashi Totsuan , a Confucian scholar who had a major influence on the Sonno Joi movement at the end of the Edo period, put its storehouse (now the brewery) in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture up for sale. We are proactively taking on new challenges. Based on the solid technology that our award-winning history shows, we aim to be a sake brewery with the motto of "free and open-minded sake brewing" that continues to take on new challenges in response to the times, in order to embody both the inheritance of tradition and innovation.
