Our craft beer takes a little bit longer to brew than others. Selecting the finest ingredients and handcrafting the traditional process demands patience. But 35 years? That’s how long we’ve been making our full flavoured beers, improving and perfecting them year after year. It makes us the oldest independent brewery in Ireland and those who drink our beer agree it’s been time well spent.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thin white head; aroma of orange marmalade; smooth and mellow in the mouth with some orange fruit - like a good vintage marmalade; then developing a leafy bitterness with traces of mint and coriander. An excellent IPA, I really enjoyed this, pleasantly different to the assertive American style.

Hazed golden color with a creamy white layer on top. Lovely lacing. Some butterscotch, citric and fruity. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Partly destroyed by the butterscotch.

Bottle just called Hilden Headless Dog. Amber with a very thin head. Well-balanced with a very light fruitiness in its hop and asome light malts too.

Flaska inköpt i Dublin, tack snälla frun! Doftar bröd och smörkakor, typiskt brittiskt. Blommig och lite karamellig smak. Tja vad skall jag säga, tusen nyanser av brittisk pale ale. They look the same and taste the same....

Many thanks to Beersiveknown for this bottle! The beer starts fresh and floral. Deep viscous, slightly sweetish with not too much floralness in the sweetish malt. Easy to drink though, moderate bitter in the aftertaste with hints of grain. Nice long but a bit sweetish aftertaste with floral hints.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2015. Deep amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. A hint of spice, some earthy, malty sweetness, hedgerow fruit and a slightly bitter finish. Fine.

Pale ale muy ligera, dorada brillante y con muy escasa espuma. Aroma ligeramente lupulada. Muy bebible, poco cuerpo, pero agradable con un toque final lupulado.
