The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Sly trickling lace.
The aroma had a soft sweet nuttiness with some nice roast. Ample amount of coffee bean strided in delicately, slight milk chocolate. Ends with some earthy hops.
The flavor blended the sweet to the roast fairly nice. Some herbal to earthy mild maltiness slides in the aftertaste to follow into the finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, slightly under with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt steady. ABV felt spot on.
Overall, nicely done brown ale well worthy of having again if I could get it.

The appearance was a nice thick dark black color with a tan foamy finger’s worth of head. Lace sticks nicely, somewhat strings into a light spiderweb.
The aroma had a good amount of roasty coffee beans playing with thick milk and dark chocolate portions. Some vanilla and a little bit of smoke/ash.
The flavor leaned towards the roastiness initially and then developed the smoke/ash a bit more with the chocolate as it warmed. Not much of an aftertaste, somewhat has some ash and chocolate. Finish was pretty quick with the ash and the chocolate.
The feel was medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. ABV did feel as projected by the brewer and shaped the carbonation nicely around my tongue.
Overall, pretty good imperial stout worthy of having again. Thanks Mike for the opportunity to try this.

The appearance was a fairly dark murky brown color with a good finger and a half’s worth of tan foamy head. Mildly dissipated to leave some messy filmy and foamy lace.
The aroma had some roasted nuts, good caramel/toffee base malts, some milk chocolate, light coffee beans (somewhat roasty), toast, slight biscuits and ends with some earthy hops.
The flavor leaned towards the mix of the roasty nuts to the coffee beans. Light bready and coffee notes meld into the aftertaste to follow into the finish.
The feel was medium bodied with a clean sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt good.
Overall, very nicely done brown ale, leans towards the English style.

Hmm. Almost beginner "homebrew" ish. Bad carbonation. Odd malt profile. Hops? Hopefully it's just an old keg
