Can from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque, dark brown, white floaties, light sparkle, thin head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, cardamom, molasses, mild chocolate, hint of dark fruit. Taste is earthy malt, molasses. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Aroma has good complexity, more than taste. OK.

Can shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque, murky light brown, thin head with good retention, light lacing. Aroma is evergreen (no resin), citrus and slightly odd smell--candle wax? Taste is citrus and pine but backseat to stronger malts. Smooth, frothy texture, finish as taste. Appreciate the opportunity to tick the brewer. Not in love with the offering, though.

16 oz. can from The City, Sanford, ME. Deep brown / black appearance. Aroma is caramel and cocoa. Flavor follows the nose with body being on the lighter side of medium.
Ends on some burnt cocoa and roasts malts. Decent enough black lager. Body is a tad flimsy. The brewery calls this a “winter lager”. Ok, winter lager is not a style.
This fits best under black lager / Schwarzbier style.

16 oz. can. From The City, Sanford, ME. Aroma is soft roasted malt, mild chili, cocoa. As long as I remind myself, this is under 6%, everything turns out fine. Mild cocoa, mild roast, and very light chilies. Body could use a little oats or a little more “beef”, it’s OK.

16 oz can. No date code. Aroma is mango, orange, and some mild malt. Flavor follows with the addition of some herbal bitterness. Dry texture and bitterness lingers for a bit. For New England IPA it should be a lot juicer.
Overall, it is ok.
