Firkin at Commercial Tap House on 01/17/2011. Slightly hazy orange amber body with a small creamy off-white head. Sweet citrus and resiny hop aroma on a caramel background. Sweet citrus and resiny hop flavor with caramel and light fruit. Copper color, high carbonation. Nice, subtle aroma. Not much of a flavor at first but after a few seconds there is a sweet hoppy flavor. Nice, but doesn’t last long.

22 oz. bottle. Nice dark color, with a medium light head. Thick and lasts long, with lacing down the sides. Banana aroma with some hint of banana and other fruits.

On tap at the brewpub on 11/18/2009. Packing a punch at 15.3%. Somewhat hazy deep amber body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and fruit aroma. 22 oz. Bottle. 2006 vintage. Pretty decent barleywine. For 11.5% there isn’t much of an alcohol taste. Smooth finish.
