50 cl bottle thanks to Phelice from the AA board! BB 06.09. On December 28, 2008. I read it as "Freiger Pilsener" but must have made a misstake on the reading. Clear pale golden color, big white head that leaves nice lacings in the glass. Clean, crisp, sweet malty scent. Clean sweet and bitter herbal taste. Herbal aftertaste. Medium high, very long lasting, herbal dry bitterness. Medium mouthfeel.

Muffig herber Antrunk, bereits hier eintönig. Im Mittelteil etwas hopfiger, billig wirkend, sehr leicht würzig. Im Abgang sehr mild, etwas herb-bitter. Lieblos gebrautes Bier mit offensichtlich billigen Zutaten. Test vom 11.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,6,5,5,7,5 - 5,75

Test vom 4.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,6,5,4,8,4 - 5,25

Bottle: Pale golden, persistent and lacing white layer; artificial sweeteners, lemons some tartness an an illusion of beer in the nose; moderate sweet - not cloying - , and a bit sourish flavour, light bodied; sweeteners, tartness and a light bitterness in the finish. O.K., not the worst Radler.....

(bottle) Supermarket brand, brewed for Rewe-markets. Clear mahogany coloured hue with a small but stable off-white head. Roastmalty aroma, not unpleasantly sweet and a hoppy note, no detectable fruity esters but a hint of glue. Dry roastmalty taste, light to medium bodied, ok-carbonated, almost lasting bitter hoppy finish. Still drinkable brew…if you are LOST on a remote island, far away from Düsseldorf. Probably the old DAB Alt.

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a nice foamy white head, slowly lacing. Medium sweet malty aroma with cake dough and a hoppy tinge. Almost dry malty initial taste, medium to light bodied, crispy mouthfeel, quite bitter hoppy balanced finish. A cheap beer, but definitely clean and proper made, unfortunately with no distinctive Ups, but also with no Downs (just a hint of “cardboard” in the finish)…it´s just a bit bland and boring….and after having had several boring Helles from Lower Bavaria, this is not bad at all.
