Description
Pelican Brewing Company was born at the beach in Pacific City in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. And now twenty years later, older, and wiser, Pelican Brewing Company is a craft beer industry leader with fans throughout the Northwest and around the world. Today we’ve taken our breweries and our values to other Oregon coastal towns where we wake up each day in a place that reminds us that amazing is possible. Cheers fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A hazy orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is very sweet and very hoppy. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy from a good Cascade presence - going in the citric direction, and with dry grassy end.

Bottled. Brownish/orange colour with small beige head. Rotten fuit in aroma along with sugary hints. Sweetish sour apple, mango and malt in flavour. A bit hops in finish. Quite pleasant, even though it has the "rotten fruit" almost all the way through.

Hazy pale yellow, small white head, lace. Pale malty, floral hoppy nose. "Rubbery" yeasty, a bit watery, hints of banana before late hoppyness. Easy to drink session beer. My first Cream Ale and the last needed beer style in Ratebeer.

Hazy nutty brown, small creamy off-white head. Sticky glue-like harsh aroma. Unbalanced yeasty sticky malty flavors, medium-bodied. Some sweetness underlying. Not my cup of tea.
