Description
Pelican Brewing Company was born at the beach in Pacific City in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. And now twenty years later, older, and wiser, Pelican Brewing Company is a craft beer industry leader with fans throughout the Northwest and around the world. Today we’ve taken our breweries and our values to other Oregon coastal towns where we wake up each day in a place that reminds us that amazing is possible. Cheers fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets.

12 oz can from Brewers Haven. Deep golden pour, one finger foamy head. Dry malty aroma. Taste brings more malts with a touch of citrus. Simple, clean, tasty.

On tap at BitterCreek Boise. Mostly clear medium amber. Light smooth toasted malts in the aromas and flavors. A little sweetness and light caramel malt ones. Low subtle hop character. Smooth malty and easy.

35cl Fles van Bierhut. Zwart, beige kraag. Dikke bak melkchocolade, iets van roast en koffie, maar te weinig om het spannend te maken. Licht hoppig, maar niet meer dan dat. Te oud wellicht? Prima bier, maar niet de verwachte hoogvlieger.

Bomber. Aroma is lime, libraries, wet stone, light caramel. Pours hazy amber with a one finger collapsing beige head; falls into a ring in a few seconds. Taste has a light to moderate caramel sweetness with some light tartness from the lime, and light to moderate dry bitterness in the finish. Perfect mouthfeel. A little blander than I was expecting but not bad.

On Tap clear medium yellow golden with a long lasting fine white head. Rather pilsnerish looking. Mild light pale malt aromas and a slightly grassy fresh like hop flavor. Balanced and smooth.
