500 ml can, as Egils Premium Export, from Rúsan, Tórshavn. ABV is 5.7%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Moderate sweetish "industrial" aroma, hints of wet cardboard. The flavour is first medium sweet, some acidic fruity notes, hints of cardboard again, some bitterness in the dry and dusty finish. No masterpiece this one.

Update 7/23/2022: description below remains, but I enjoyed this one more on tap... from 8/25/2011: Pours clear gold into a shaker. Bright white lace recedes to hug rim. Adjunct aromas. Sweet malt and adjuncts, mild bitter finish. 5/3/5/3/10

500 ml can, from Rúsan, Tórshavn. ABV is 4.4%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Weak aroma, grainy and dusty, just a faint hint of fruit. Fizzy mouthfeel. Bland flavour, grainy and dusty again, very dry, minimal hops, not good at all.

Gulgylltur i glasi, hvít froða sem endist vel. Mild humlalykt, létt froða. Mikið karbon, kítlar munn. Nokkuð bitur í munni, létt sætt bragð. Öflugt eftirbragð (14. júlí 2011)

500ml can, thanks to Sveinbjørn for sharing some of his beverage with me on his mothers birthday 23.Apr.2011. According to Sveinbjørn this was very tasty and worth spending the day looking forward to open. He also told me that drinking Malt Extrakt is a part of Icelandic Easter Tradition. Dark brown body, with a little fizz. Sweet malt aroma, hints of caramel and licorice. Obviously the taste was sweet to, and totally mirrored the aroma. It didn’t quite meet my expectations, but I think it was due to the already mentioned hype...

Tap in some Cafe in Laugavegur. Golden body, with a small head. Sweet malt, grain, hay and mostly butter in both aroma and taste. Shared with Sirry 20.Apr.2011.

tap in some cafe on Laugavegur. Yellow body. Quite carbonated. Hints of lemon and hops in the aroma. No distinct taste, rather bland, thin and boring. (20.Apr.2011)

By the courtesy of Snegurochka. Partial gushing beer. Lasting, white head to a clear, golden body. Pale malty nose with hints of sweet fruits. Fruit-malty taste added by a drop of salt and almond. Short ending. So and so (shared at a rating session in Tromsø, 22.06.2011.
