500ml bottle from one of those bargain shops (B&M I think) - Clear fizzy yellow body, pretty stable white head. Nose is malty, a bit of soggy cardboard and grain. Taste is clean but watery, a little sweet malt on the end. Not going to be all snobby about this one, had plenty worse in the beer houses of northern Europe.

Green 500ml bottle: BBD 26 Aug 14, poured into an ’Adnams’ badged half-pint vase shapped glass (twice) on 10 Nov 13. The bottle was bought at some random Polish shop in Boston, Lincolnshire by my father. Regular Pilsner/export/lager look: golden, bright and clear, usual fading white head on both pours and a semi-lasting collar. Faint grainy/malty nose with a hint of sweetness. The sweetness from the aroma was also present in the taste: again a more grainy/malty feel to the brew, some mild hop bitterness towards the end of each sip, but this is leaning away from hops and heading along a semi-sweet biscuit line of flavours. Not bad, not good: a run-of-the-mill Polish beer in all aspects.

Taki premium z tego piwa jak z wody barszcz. Dla mnie przeslodzone. Tak wiec cukier nie w pelni odfermentowany. Piana zas pokazna i puszysta. Takie piwo na jeden raz degustacji bo nie ma po co do niego wracać

Head: beige, medium, frothy, below avg. retention. Colour: deep amber red, almost black.
Aroma: strong anise, some roasted malt, if you really try. Taste: again lots of anise, rather sweet, roasted bitterness.
I have to admit, anise is not my favourite type of flavour.
