Belize Brewing Company, Ltd. was established in 1969 and brewed its first beer in 1971. Our family of beers include Lighthouse, Belikin Lager, Belikin Premium, Belikin Stout and Belize Brewing also bottles Export Guinness.
Bottle bought from Belize Golden color, white head. Aroma is hops and coffee (not strong). Taste is hoppy but too watery. In the aftertaste softly coffee and hops.
Bottle (sampled: Corozal, Belize 23.2.04) Black with mini-size tan head. Caramel aroma. Bitter with some roasted malt and dark chocolate. Aftertaste too alcoholic.
Not a bad beer! This is the beer of belize and i mean this is the only one! You can find this anywhere in the country for about 3 belizian dollars. Nice taste and smooth. No horrible aftertaste as you would think from seeing where this is brewed. There is nothing better then sitting at the lazy lizard on caye caulker on a warm afternoon with one of these.
