Bottled. Amber colour with no head. Aroma is spices, some honey, mild toffee. Flavour is honey, some mild alcohol with quite a bunch of spiciness and some mild toffee tones too.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Copper colour no head. Aroma is cherries, black currant and some sweet honey and some slight alcohol. Flavour is toffee, honey, alcohol and some black currant with also some raspberries. Supersweet, but very delicate.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Honeyish golden colour, no head. Aroma is sweet honey, some elderflower and nectar sweetness with also a slight alcohol touch to it. Flavour is floral, some fruity, toffeeish and elderflowery tones. Pleasant to drink, although there is a quite heavy kick of alcohol in the finish.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Golden colour, no head. Aroma is almonds, honey and some slight spices and alcohol. Flavour is almonds, honey, some spiciness, mild alcohol and also some nectary tones. Really mellow flavour, whereas the aroma was quite sharply sweet.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep rubyish amber colour with no head. Aroma is tart cherries, some toasted tones with mild honey tones. Flavour is sweet honey with some herbal and mild nectary tones. Quite a mouthdrying and semi sweetish tart mead. Plenty of lingonberry in the finish

Bottle sample at the Mead Museum, pours a clear dark red / burgundy. Aroma brings out jammy red currant and heavy sweet honey nectar. Flavour is jammy and lightly tart, with lots of medium sweet honey, heavy currants that cut down on the sweetness a bit, light tartness and gentle acidity. Cohesive and complex. Excellent.
Slovakian mead ✅ light and dry, a bit warming.
