0,15l from tap at Salon Piva, Bratislava. golden clear shiny color, small white head. smells peppery, citric, bit musty, lightly fruity. decent smell, but has some very light off notes. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, bit leathery, light grains, grassy, herbal. finishes medium bitter with notes of grass, herbs and citric notes. decent one overall, did not like the smell so much, taste is drinkable but a bit on the herbal / grassy side.

0,3l from tap at the brewpub. light yellow lightly hazy colour, small white head. smells bread, light grains, grassy. nice smell. light body, soft carbonation, soft mouthfeel. tastes grassy, lightly citric, bready, light grains, some tobacco. finishes lightly bitter with notes of grass, light grains and tobacco. very nice one, lovely balance, overall I prefer a bit more bread and less bitterness, but still very enjoyable beer.

PET bottle, thanks Gurthnar and Ogi! Poured a daaaark brown-black body tinged with amber and a tiny beige head. The aroma mixes sweetish maltiness with solid smoke notes and dry woodiness. Light burnt popcorn, but somehow it works well in combination with the rest. Light, pleasant smoked beer, again with the woody/smoky maltiness, but lean with some sweet, vaguely fruity malty touches, maybe a note of esters hiding underneath everything, but this is seriously balanced and tasty. Pleasant roastiness mixess well with the smoke and the vague estery touch. If someone told me this was from Schlenkerla, I wouldn’th ave batted an eyelash. Awesome!

On tap at the brewpub and few days after from brown plastic take away bottle. Dark brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, distinct smoke in the nose. Mild roasted malt, distinct smoke, notes of hops and caramel and again smoke in the finish. Well done.

On tap at the brewpub. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild citrusy nose. Moderate malty, citrusy hoppy, slightly milky and quite strong hoppy finish and aftertaste. Nice one.

Da ein Craftbierlokal auch Hipster und Bobos anzieht, gibt es auch ein IPA. Dies ist im Gegensatz zum Hellen aber eher Standard. Auch wenn es mir ein bisschen zu bitter vorkommt.

Ein Helles mit einer Auffälligkeit: Butter -Den kennt man von einigen Bieren, aber hier ist er wirklich ein wahnsinn. Es gibt aber auch eine würzige Bitterkeit, die die Spitzen abfängt und so ein eigentlich fein süffiges Bier schafft. Etwas außergewöhnlich, aber nicht schlecht. Man muss es halt auch mögen.
