(Bottle) Dark reddish brown colour, with brief beige head. Malty, vinous nose with dried fruit, figs, raisins, caramel, burnt sugar, oak wood, orange peel, nuts and chocolate. Malty, sweet taste with notes of dried fruit, figs, raisins, caramel, brown sugar, orange peel, nuts, chocolate, spices, Madeira wine and a balanced bitter-sweet finish. Almost full body, sweet. Rich, warming and tasty, with a slightly bitter-sweet touch. Very nice.

Can 33 cl. Pours an almost clear, deep amber with a small, beige head. Biscuity, toffeeish aroma - perhaps with a hint of diacetyl. Medium body, dry nuttiness, roast, vitamins and a very bitter finish. More bitter than most British Bitters. 160124

330ml slim can bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. Misty amber body, firm off-white head leaving rings of lace down the glass. Moderate taste of mid-sweet doughy malts and dusty hops. Fine blended taste profile of mild-caramel malts, some bread, and leafy hops. Mid-dry bitter ending joined by subdued malty sweetness. Well crafted. (Tromsø, 01.12.2023).

33cl can from Systembolaget Landsvägen, Sundbyberg. Pours hazy amber, with a modest, off-white head. Malty and caramelly with pleasant hoppy notes. Medium to moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Quite drinkable.
