Description
Note: For sale since start of 2025, taproom "temporarily closed", potentially reopening for the summer season.

The first construction modifications began in September 2013 and we started operations on August 18, 2014. You can find the brewery and inn in the village of Chomoutov, near Olomouc, in the PLA Litovelské Pomoraví.

As you can imagine, we derived the name of the brewery from the name of our village. Chomoutov itself has a long history and was first mentioned in writing in 1078. The brewery is located in a more than a hundred-year-old Haná farm, in the former stables, which have undergone a complete reconstruction.

We started brewing beer for ourselves, as homebrewers, so that it would taste good to us. And because it tasted good and not only to us, we enlarged it once and the second time we preferred to build a real brewery. Nevertheless, we still brew at home and, according to our friend, we are home brewers with the largest brewery in the country. We want to continue brewing beer that we and you will like.

Tap at Zlý Časy. Deep golden body with a white head, very lively carbonation. Grainy and herbal notes, bit oddly herbal really. Light clean maltiness supporting a light herbal hoppiness, and as is obvious - good carbonation. Not terrific, simple, but more than okay for the ABV.

Tap at the Beer Geek Bar, Prague. Poured a hazy light golden colour with a big moderately lasting frothy white head. The aroma is banana yeast, light citrus fruits, spicy clove. The flavour is yeasty citrus with a fresh, crisp, fruity, light banana spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A new and interesting take on a Witbier with less emphasis on the yeasty banana side and more on the citrus finish. Very drinkable and quite sessionable. Reasonable body for the ABV.
