Description
Note: For sale since start of 2025, taproom "temporarily closed", beers brewed at Jarošov.
The first construction modifications began in September 2013 and we started operations on August 18, 2014. You can find the brewery and inn in the village of Chomoutov, near Olomouc, in the PLA Litovelské Pomoraví.
As you can imagine, we derived the name of the brewery from the name of our village. Chomoutov itself has a long history and was first mentioned in writing in 1078. The brewery is located in a more than a hundred-year-old Haná farm, in the former stables, which have undergone a complete reconstruction.
We started brewing beer for ourselves, as homebrewers, so that it would taste good to us. And because it tasted good and not only to us, we enlarged it once and the second time we preferred to build a real brewery. Nevertheless, we still brew at home and, according to our friend, we are home brewers with the largest brewery in the country. We want to continue brewing beer that we and you will like.

750ml Bottle - Very light amber with a foamy head. Grapefruit, orange, pine and caramel in the aroma. Hoppy and slightly tangy taste with pine, grapefruit and caramel standing out. The rye notes are detectable but fairly subtle, although they do add something to the body.

Barva tmavsi zlatava. Pena nizka a pomijiva. Vune kvasnicova sladova. Chut sladova az karamelova, s citrusovym dojezdem. Chlebova trochu. Horkost nizsi stredni. Telo stredne plne. Spis min bublin, mozna mi trochu vyprchal. Neni to zly ale ani nijak skvely. Ke konci lahve uz mi prijde horci, vyssi stredni. Druha sklenice zakalena.

# 2596; 10/2021. Malty, bready and slightly herbal aroma. Hazy amber body, persistant lacing white head. Malty, bready, yeasty, herbal, slightly roasty and hazelnut. Not bad, nothing remarkable. 0,5 l, draught, multitap pub, Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ).

On tap @Šopa Hospoda in Ostrava-CZ. Ancient golden dark and clear pour with a quite consistent white foam. Nose: a well balanced mix of grass and malt, floral and a bit biscuity. Mouth: carbonation is quite strong, the body is thin leading watery. No flaws, no thrills either.

750ml Bottle - The beer came gushing out of the bottle. Amber with a very foamy head. Rye bread, grain, honey and caramel in the aroma. Malty and slightly sweet taste with rye, grass, honey and caramel standing out alongside a hint of dried fruit. It is a shame it was a gusher as this is pretty good.

750ml Bottle - Amber with a white head. Caramel, pine and hints of oranges in the aroma. Hoppy, fruity and slightly sweet taste with notes of citrus, caramel, pine and some berries. I recently brewed a single hop beer with Most and it showed off its qualities much better than here as I feel here the malt bill takes away from the qualities of the hop. Not bad, though, just not a good showcase for Most.
